Welcome to the XTERRA Trail Run Series 2009
The XTERRA trail run series is back in 2009 and promises to deliver to you, some stunning course options in some equally stunning locations in and around Auckland. Generally locations will be within one hours drive of central Auckland.
The XTERRA trail run series has become a stalwart on the winter events calendar, and attracts people that are keen to get out there and give it a go - people from all walks of life, all ages, gender and abilities. This is a low key series of events that offer like minded people an opportunity to get together and give it a decent nudge.
All of the good bits remain unchanged, the focus has and always will be about the quality of the courses. At the end of your jaunt, there will always be a sausage sizzling away on the BBQ and a cold Speights with your name on it.
total sport is proud to announce its partnership with leading international development agency Oxfam, for the 2009 XTERRA trail run series. $10 from every series entry and $5 from individual entries will go to Oxfam New Zealand. You can add a further donation to your entry fee and give real items that people living in poverty around the world need to change their lives for the better.
Another good bit that has grown from year to year is the second-to-none series race pack, available to the first 200 series entrants. In this years race pack, expect to see the following;
· Long sleeve first layer event tee
· Beanie or Buff
· Socks
· Personal first aid kit
· Nutrition
This “nearly famous” race pack will have cool stuff in it worth over $200!
2009 event pricing;
· Adult series entry (any distance and can be changed throughout series) - $255
· Child series entry – under 18 years (does not include race pack contents) -$110
· Adult Long course / individual event - $48
· Adult Mid course / individual event - $43
· Adult Short course / individual event - $38
· Child (under 18 years) any course option - $22
· Family price (2 adults / 2 children) any course options - $100
All on the day entries will have a $7 late fee added per entry
Course distance options;
· Long course, 17 – 20km+
· Mid course, 10 – 14km
· Short course, 5 – 7km
