Congratulations to all runners who competed in the 2010 Blacktown City Festival Fun Runs at Blacktown Olympic Park on Sunday 23 May.
Well done to Greg Wilson from Blacktown for winning the open mens 4km Fun Run and Sarah Salmon from Erskine Park for winning the open womens 4k Fun Run. Vincent Shephard from Blacktown won the open mens 10km Fun Run and Tracey Petty from Manly won the open womens 10km Fun Run.

All races start on the Athletics Track at Blacktown Olympic Park. There is free parking in the main car park within Blacktown Olympic Park.
Participants who enter prior to Wednesday 12 May 2010 will be posted their IPICO timing chip and race bib number with relevant race day information. After this, participants are required to pick up their race pack on Sunday 23 May 2010 at Blacktown Olympic Park Athletics Track from 7.30am.
Late entries on race day accepted from 7.30am until strictly 10 minutes prior to the start of your race.

4KM RACE ROUTE
The 4km race route will follow the athletics track, cricket oval and the AFL oval and then participants will head back to the finish line via the footpath on Eastern Road. Follow the road/footpath within Blacktown Olympic Park to the athletics track. Participants then complete another 300m of the athletics track to the finish line. The 4km route is very flat.
Please note the terrain is varied throughout the 4km course. There is road, footpaths, gravel paths, grass and the mondo surface synthetic athletics track.
10KM RACE ROUTE
The 10km race route follows the same path as the 4km and then makes a left turn on the footpath at Eastern Road, Rooty Hill. Participants then head towards Charlie Bali Reserve and follows the Western Sydney Parklands path around to Nurragingy Reserve - over the footbridge. Participants follow a marked path to an entrance gate along the western railway line. The course then follows a long stretch of road adjacent to the railway line to a turn around point under the M7 Motorway. Participants then follow the same route back keeping left. 10km participants then head straight up Eastern Road tuhrough baseball fields and then finishing in front of the main grandstand at the athletics track of Blacktown Olympic Park. The 10km course is very flat.

DRINK STATIONS
There are 3 drink stations on course and at the finish line.
Drink station 1 at the 1km mark for all runners. Only water in cups at this station.
Drink station 2 just after the 4km mark in Nurragingy Reserve. Water and powerade sports drink in cups.
Drink Station 3 at about the 7km mark in Nurragingy Reserve. water and powerade sports drink in cups.
SPECTATOR INFORMATION
The best position to watch runners/walkers is at Blacktown Oympic Park Athletics Stadium. There is plenty of seating, toilets, food and refreshments located here. Access on the course is limited to volunteers and officials for route marshalling.
