RULES AND CONDITIONS OF MEET:

PROMOTER:  The promoter is Alex Davis on behalf of Out to Swim SC.

WHO CAN ENTER?  This meet is open to all OTS members and those swimmers who are members of an invited club.  All clubs must be organisations affiliated to FINA.  British swimmers must be registered as competitors with their governing body for the club they wish to represent.  All non British swimmers confirm by submitting their entry that they are a member of a FINA affiliated organization, and must bring their proof of affiliation with them to the event.   ASA registered Masters should check their registration status at   http://www.swimmingresults.org/customerservices/membershipcheck/index.php

A competitor may only compete for one club in the competition and must be a registered member of that club on the closing date for the individual entries.

EVENTS AND SEEDING:  In the mixed individual events men and women will swim together in the same heats.  Events will be seeded in order of entry time, irrespective of age, from slowest to fastest.  The fastest heat in each event will be spearheaded.  Where an entry time is not submitted swimmers will be seeded in the slowest heats.  Swimmers may compete only once in each relay team event.

ENTRY RULES: When entering races please note that you may only enter 5 events.  Entering more events will result in your entry being invalid.

AGE GROUPS:  The Senior age group is for those aged from 18 to 24 years, and Masters are from 25 years old in 5 year age bands.  Relays: we will run only one age category – total age 120+.  Senior age group swimmers cannot swim up into 120+ relays.  If there is sufficient interest in a senior age group rely event then OTS will consider organising a 80+ relay competition.  Ages for Masters are as at 31st December 2014 for individual and team events.  Seniors must be 18 years of age or older on the date of the competition.

RESULTS:  Results will be decided on heat times, there will be no finals.

AWARDS:  Prizes will be awarded to individuals placed 1st, 2nd, & 3rd in each age group.  OTS will not be awarding medals at this competition for individual events, but will award alternative prizes.

ENTRIES:  Entries will be on-line only via the link given. Entries will be confirmed by Entry Lists posted on the Out To Swim website www.outtoswim.org.  Any communication arising from an entry will normally be by email only, but a contact telephone number should also be given in case it is necessary to discuss an entry.

ENTRY FEES AND PAYMENT:  A fee of £25 is payable to cover up to five individual entries. Early registration of £20 is available for the first 50 people to register.  Entry fees will not be refunded for withdrawals after the closing dates. All payments will be collected on-line via a credit or debit card.

CLOSING DATE FOR INDIVIDUAL ENTRIES:  Entries close on midnight Sunday 16th March 2014 or sooner if sessions are fully subscribed.

LIMIT OF LIABILITY:  In the event of the meet being cancelled for whatever reason event entry fees will be refunded.  The promoter accepts no responsibility for any consequential costs.

HEALTH: Swimmers are responsible for ensuring that they are in good health and able to confidently swim the distances entered.  Pool depth will be over 2m throughout the pool and all swimmers must be deep water confident.

DISPUTES: the Promoter shall decide any matters not provided for in these conditions.
