This race is run under FRA rules ( and is approximately 5 miles in length with 1000ft of climb.  The course takes you to the summit of the Mendip Hills and is all off road.  A two mile climb takes you to the summit, then one mile of track and four hundred yards of gorse brings you to the descent, all over a stony track back to the start. This is an ideal introduction to fell running for those wanting more than just another five miler. There will be plenty of marshals and marking tape to guide you around the course.

Please ensure you wear suitable clothing for the conditions. It can be cold and very wet on top of the Mendips so come prepared.
