Woodlands Hospice Forget-me-not appeal 2018

We would like to offer you the opportunity to celebrate a loved one by dedicating one of our beautiful Forget-me-not flowers. Individually hand-crafted from durable steel the flowers will be an enchanting addition to your garden.

These colourful flowers will once again be available due to their popularity. The flowers will be displayed in the hospice gardens during the month of July creating a vibrant display.  In early August we’d love you to come in and see the Forget-me-not display, collect your flower(s) and, if you wish, you will have the opportunity to talk to some of the hospice staff about our work.

When you dedicate a flower you will receive an acknowledgement letter along with a certificate of dedication through the post.

Through this simple act of remembering a loved one, and supporting your local hospice, you’ll be helping to support others when they are at a really difficult time in their life.

If you want to remember a loved one through our Forget-me-not appeal, please complete the online form or click on 'Register Now' above right.

Alternatively if you would like a form emailed or posted out to you, please call Carole Riley on 0151 529 4143 or email carole.riley@aintree.nhs.uk

Linda and her granddaughtersLinda’s story …

Last year Linda Arnold and her family supported the Forget-me-not appeal in memory of her husband William (Billy) Arnold. Linda shares her story, and why she chose to support us in this way:

“My husband Billy was a patient at Woodlands Hospice in 2015. The staff and doctors showed us such great compassion, kindness, care and attention during his stay. Always there with a smile to lift our spirits, they helped make a very difficult time easier to cope with. They became like family and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. I would like to thank such wonderful and special people for their love and support. They took away the worries of day-to-day life, allowing me to be a wife and not a full time carer. This enabled Billy and I to spend very precious time together.

My family and I will always endeavour to support Woodlands Hospice in any way we can and will be supporting the Forget-me-not appeal once again this year
as it is so very close to our hearts. Thank you in the hope that you will choose to support Woodlands Hospice as I have done.”
